How to open an embroidery file without software
- Click 📄 Files (on a computer also 📂 Open folder or 📦 Open ZIP file).
- Choose your files – e.g. .jef, .pes, .vp3, .hus, .exp or .dst.
- Done: every design appears as a thumbnail with size in mm, stitch count and colors. One click opens the large view with the color order.

How do I open a JEF file?
Right here in your browser, without embroidery software: click “📄 Files” and choose the .jef file. The viewer shows the design with size, stitch count and colors. JEF+ files work the same way.
Which embroidery file formats can I view?
JEF and JEF+ (Janome, Elna), PES and PEC (Brother), VP3 (Pfaff, Husqvarna), HUS (Husqvarna Viking), EXP (Bernina) and DST (Tajima). The closed formats ART (Bernina) and EMB (Wilcom) are not supported – save them as EXP or JEF in your embroidery software.
Is the embroidery viewer free?
Yes, free forever, no sign-up and no subscription.
Are my embroidery files uploaded?
No. Files are only opened in your browser and never uploaded. Purchased designs stay with you.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. On a phone, choose single embroidery files or a ZIP file. Whole folders at once only work on a computer.
Can I view designs inside a ZIP file?
Yes, without unzipping. You can also keep only your machine’s format and save it as a new ZIP, or on a computer copy it straight into a folder or onto a USB stick.
Will the design fit my hoop?
Choose your hoop at the top (Janome sizes or a custom size). Every design then shows whether it fits, fits when rotated or is too large.
